Relief teaching is regarded as a vitally important role by school principals, the V.I.T. and Resource Ed Personnel with specialised expectations and requiring unique skills and strategies. All relief teachers, whether already teaching, newly qualified, newly arrived, returning to teaching, retired, or contemplating casual or contract employment in Victoria gain great value from this seminar.It is presented in workshop format of up to three hours in which participants investigate issues and refresh their understandings relating to:
- highly effective classroom management strategies
- VELS (Victorian Essential Learning Standards) and the school curriculum
- classroom teaching programs
- student learning and student management
- student wellbeing and welfare
- professional resources and support
- career recognition and pathways

Participants receive a kit of supporting literature with a wealth of practical ideas and materials.
The fee for non-REdP teachers is $35 (refundable upon registration with REdP) There is no charge for REdP teachers or their guests.
