Resource Ed Leads the Way.

Resource Ed strives to maintain its proud reputation by setting the standards in all aspects of its relationships within the education community.

In every way, Resource Ed provides teacher recruitment and placement support services to school clients by adhering to current employment and on-hire policies of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Only "DEECD - eligible" teachers are available for allocation into government schools. All teachers registering with Resource Ed need current teacher registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and clearance from the DEECD Conduct and Ethics Branch. Resource Ed liaises closely with DEECD in all aspects of on-hire policy, practice and expectations. Teacher unions value all efforts to seek alignment and consistency between state and private employment of teachers, so that Resource Ed teachers may gain all of the professional benefits of private engagement without adversely compromising industrial entitlements. Similar constructive compliance is enjoyed with a range of other authorities ensuring that teachers' needs in terms of WorkCover, superannuation, taxation, professional insurances, training and development are provided for comprehensively.

Resource Ed's Professional Learning team leads the way in providing specialised programs for Relief Teachers who otherwise can be distanced from school-provided professional learning opportunities. Relief Teaching seminars, induction services, First Aid Training, Anaphylaxis training rebates, VELS curriculum, Classroom & Behaviour Management, Box of Tricks, Valuing Relief Teaching, Thinking Approaches to Relief Teaching, CV & Application Writing and Interactive Whiteboard Training for Relief Teachers are regular offerings currently available to all relief teachers, thanks to the initiative shown by the Resource Ed model. Programs are accredited and accessible via the VIT's portal Pdi.

The needs of newly arrived, recently qualified, working holiday visa holders, returning or retired teachers in transition to relief teaching are provided for comprehensively. Support programs and sessions are also provided to VIT Provisionally Registered Teacher forums and metropolitan and regional CRT Networks, to government Skilled Migrants programs, to university graduates and to the Holmesglen TAFE International Teacher Refresher Program.

Victoria Institute of Teaching

The company was a founding member of the Teacher Agency Network of Victoria which seeks membership from affiliates who are willing to comply with rigorous Professional Standards and a respected Code of Practice. TANVic agencies can provide a superior level of assurance that all legislative and regulatory responsibilities are met, and that the interests of teachers and schools who access their services are receiving complete consideration in terms of compliance with contracted professional obligations, procedures and protocols.
